I am a Sr. Software Engineer working out of Eden Prairie, MN. I have been working with PHP for close to 9 years. When I first started out, I was simply a hobbiest learning the realms of what I could really do on the web. This had eventually grown into a passion that started to consume me. I learned everything I could from any resource that was around then starting to tread into other languages to see what concepts that I could utilize in the PHP world. This became the career of choice for me to enter, however, enterprise adoption was very slow and jobs were mainly in the web development farms that were popping up all over the place. After a few years enterprise adoption started to hit for their internal applications and the need for PHP developers was slowly being realized. Now enterprises are drastically looking for qualified PHP developers as both PHP adoption as well as the high gains has been recognized in the enterprise. I must state that this language is about a passion that engulfed a community the same way it has me.
